Let's see if I can get all the grapple rules right...

Brian moves in on K-Pax, and gets a mace upside the head (roll 40) for 17 pts. (Brian down to 52). Brian is undeterred, and wraps his big arms (tch atk 30) around K-Pax on the second try (45 vs. 32), which moves his position to 105n40e.

Brian then goes for the pin but K-Pax wriggles enough to prevent it (33 vs. 35).

K-Pax will make three attempts to escape the grapple. If any of them succeed, he will take an AoO and fly up and over the VZ roof area.

No, I missed the grapple damage, and DR is not a factor for Brian, so he inflicts 2 pts, reducing K-Pax to 50pts.

OOC: Rules question - since he had to make a second attempt, that means he made a "full attack" and thus only has 5 ft of movement, right?

One gets Strength bonus added to grapple damage, so 2 points of damage seems extremely low.

OCC: rules answer: Correct, so he can only take a five-foot step, which would not provoke an AoO. The second attempt also would be taken at -5 on the roll for K-Pax.
