Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Blade Barrier is 1 min/level, so I hadn't even bothered to note on my expiring buff list - though I should anyway just in case...

So, Armstrong strolls to 115n75e

Evil's turn in 134

134: Tail whiffs (28), Wings hit (lowest hit 29) for (9-10 + 11-10) = 1 hp damage. (How's that for DR math?). One claw hits (29) one misses (25) for 11-10 = 1 hp damage.

Drac can then elect to start a grapple with that claw attack hit if desired, or continue with the bite.

Unless I've failed to record some buffs (which I think is possible), the Resistance spell expires after 134, leaving "Prot from Good" as the only buff. However, I seem to remember that Drac buffed a bit more while Armstrong was hiding away, so I'll look back for that post if you don't have the info handy.

GM only note

To save having to bring the spreadsheet up, if he continues with the bite then it hits (31) for (20-10 = 10 dmg) and another grapple try.

Note the order of the attacks, the bite comes before the claws. If the roll for the first claw hits and that's applied to the bite, then it also hits, even with cover because it's a primary attack and thus at +5 more. And yes, he'll grapple as soon as he hits with a bite or claw.

OOC (not spoilered since it won't affect the fight): As for buffs, he just has a large number of overlapping prot goods because there was nothing else. Another case of stupid spell selection. Every single dragon with spell selection should ALWAYS get the following three 1st-level spells: shield, mage armor, shield of faith. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Likewise, they should (almost) ALWAYS get bull's strength, cat's grace, and bear's endurance at second level. The spell selection for Drac is terrible. Ventriloquism? Darkness? Obscure Object? Ridiculous! Prot. from Good and alarm are nice choices. Magic missile or any other SR-based spell sucks for dragons until they get really high or get assay resistance.

Grr (at myself) for missing the cover, even though I was thinking about it when Armstrong moved - should have added it to the sheet as a note then.

134 v2: - Tail, wing, wing all miss - bite hits! (38) for (26-10 = 16 hp). The Grapple is a no-contest now that we've determined that natural 1s won't save Armstrong either. Armstrong is pulled through the Blade Barrier again, but wriggles and dodges the worst of it (34) for (46/2 = 23 hp). Armstrong has 39 hp.

Armstrong is now in Drac's clutches, and not given any cover as the two claws descend to rend him. Even with the tighter quarters inhibiting his natural swing, Drac tears into Armstrong twice (34, 29 after the -4 for grapple attacks) for (14-10 + 14-10 = 8 hp). Armstrong has 31 hp.

Good's turn in 135!

Armstrong sees Ringo where he left him - on the roof's edge.

Evil's turn for 135!

(OOC: Teleport as an (Su) is rather nice.)
