Disarm attempt, redo: The dice fall strongly against the forces of evil, with good getting (20+21+4 =45) and evil getting (4+14+8 = 26). Armstrong retains his greatsword and does deliver the smashing blow to Ringo.

137: Armstrong flies over, and both Evil creatures recognize the Divine Favor casting.

Note that Drac still resides (happily, it seems) within the blade barrier.

138: Armstrong moves in on Paul (provoking AoO) and hacks at him... given our experience with the last attack, we'll hold for a moment to hear how Paul takes his AoO before rolling out the greatsword's swipe.
 


138: A stronger disarm attempt from Evil, with Armstrong getting (13+21+4 = 38) and Paul getting (16+14+8 = 38). The tie sends the GM rushing off to his rules website, finding that ties cause a second roll (i.e. there is no implied "tie to the defender"). Good rolls the same 13 (for 38 again), while Evil merely gets (11+14+8 = 33).

There is a clash of claw on blade for a moment, as they press against each other in a clutch. Somehow Armstrong holds on to his greatsword, swivels, and barely manages to deliver a blow to Paul (28) for 22 pts of damage. Paul reels, having only 12 hp left.
