Good book with Cleric PrC's

In Novemeber FFG's Path of book that deals with clerics, paladins and Druids comes out.

Yes, and a good one it will be. :) Clerics and paladins have always been my favorite classes, and I'm editing those prestige and legendary classes as we speak.

Mmmm....avatar.

Hey, what's wrong with "Defenders of the Faith"?

Geekus is promply lynched, tarred, feathered, de-feathered when it turns out he's into that kind of thing, beaten, re-beaten, re-re-beaten, forced to drink hot molten lava through a silly-straw, and shoved under an atomic dumping ground with a 'kick me' sign taped to his back ... they would have castrated him too, but nobody could find a microscope.

... ouch ... but the Contemplative PrC ...

Do we have to do this again?

.... no ....

Book of Hallowed Might is the Book of Eldritch Might, but for divine casters. You'll find what you're asking for in there. It comes out in December.

Yes! I can't wait for "Hallowed Might"!!!!

BTW any DM's reading this: GET the Malhavoc NPC books available as ESD(s): Skreyn's Register: The Bonds of Magic, Vol. 1 Cabal PDF ( and the upcoming one "The Faithful" ).

This is the perfect time to try an ESD if you never have before, as Each NPC is printed on a single page, so you can either print them
out as needed, or keep them all in a binder, and pull out the appropriate one(s) for your game.

I bough the first one ( Cabal ) and was really impressed by the originality, yet simplicity of the NPC's Sean K Reynolds has created. Very cool art too. Definitely a time saver, and they will allow me to add some extra flavor to all sorts of encounters. Go to http://www.montecook.com/ and check it out.

Anyway, enough with the Malhavoc fanboy stuff.

Hey DocMoriartty ( why have I never noticed the 2 T's before ?? )
if you are a sourcebook aholic like me, you also need to get " The Book of the Righteous"/Green Ronin . It features Prc's, cleric Holy Orders and Holy Warriors for every alignment.

Chaotic Good Cleric Domain Options:

Deity: Domains: Chaos & Good+

Tinel Knowledge/Truth/Magic
Darmon Knowledge/Luck/Trickery/Travel
Aymara Inspiration/Beauty
Canelle Strength/Luck

That's a pretty bold statement. Now are we talking first book or 2nd book? The latter is indeed my favorite for its revision of the two core classes and this is what I mean when I say bold statement. A revision of the Paladin and Cleric classes would be a very interesting thing to see, especially if done by one of the foudners of 3rd ed.

Otherwise, while the first book was good, it wasn't anything super. Solid PrCs, feats, spells, magic items. All good and worth inclusion into any campaign but book 2... now that's the money shot.

Monte's already said there won't be a revision in this book. BUT there will be ways to channel positive energy in creative ways.

Personally I liked the FIRST better than the second. I guess mainly because I didn't NEED that much of a revision for sorcerer OR bard.

Heh, and my review of DotF concentrates on the lack of non-evil clerics prestige classes... ;)

The problem with clerical prestige classes is that many of them depend on the deity - I really like the Divine Contender of Kord, presented in some Dragon a while back.

Creating your own for your campaign is definitely suggested, it's just most of us would rather get ideas from somewhere else...

Cheers!
