Good divine char build?

Ramaster is completely correct. Ranger and Inquisitor are so similar, it's best to be either one or the other... though a 2 level dip in each will help you decide where to go from there.

I forgot that Rangers count as divine casters.

I would say no. Faconeer lets you trade an almost useless class feature (wild empaty) and a combat style feat for a couple of slight power-ups for the bird... If the same archetype axisted for wolves or something like that, then it would be worth it. As it is, the feat is more valuable (in my opinion) than the companion boost

Hmmm. I didn't notice the feat was gone. That def makes it no worth it. I might end up making a prestige class for ranger inquisitor. I think that would be pretty sweet. Have to run it my his DM of course but I think it actually make sense for these 2 classes.

Don't worry so much about prestige classes. Their job is mostly to add new abilities that are otherwise unavailable to base classes. I find that Pathfinder's character classes are 'deep' enough with all of the alternate archetypes, feats, talents etc... a Prestige class almost seems unnecessary.

If you're going more Ranger, though, you definitely can't go too wrong with Horizon Walker... possibly Nature Warden...
