Good Ebberon novels?

I'm thinking about reading a Ebberon(SP?) novel to learn more about the setting. What are some of the better ones? What ones should I avoid?

Best ones: City of Towers, by Keith Baker (The Dreaming Dark trilogy, vol. 1) and The Shattered Land, by Keith Baker (The Dreaming Dark trilogy, vol. 2).

Good ones: The Binding Stone, by Doug Bassingwaithe (The Dragon Below trilogy, vol. 1) and In The Claws of The Tiger, bu James Wyatt (stand-alone)

So-so: The Orb of Xoriat, by Edward Bulme (stand-alone)

Don't bother: Marked for Death, by Matt Forbeck (The Lost Mark trilogy, vol. 1)

These are all I've read so far.

The only Eberron novels I've read are the two Keith Baker ones, which are pretty good (and for gaming fiction, they're damn good).

I've also read the Eberron short story anthology, which has some interesting stories and I'd say is worth a look. The Keith Baker novels are better though.

Finally, the "Eye of the Wolf" Eberron comic by Keith Baker and Devil's Due Publishing is a pretty good comic.

For getting a feel about the setting, any of the stories or books by Keith Baker are recommended. He's done the Dreaming Dark Trilogy (book 3 yet to be released), the comic book (a one-off that might turn into a series if demand is high enough), a short story in the Last War book (also included in the first Eberron module) and a story in WotC's "Year of the Dragon" anthology.

The Binding Stone series is very good. The rest vary in quality, and opinions often depend on people's view of the world. The only book that gets a sound thrashing overall tends to be The Crimson Talisman.

Just here to agree with the above posters.

Keith Baker's are good, Binding Sone was decent, others are hit and miss.
