Good feats for a Rogue

One of my players is running a Rogue and just leveled up from 5th to 6th. He's having a hard time deciding on a feat, because there don't seem to be a lot of cool thief feats.

Any advice? I've got all the WotC books, so anything from them would be cool.

Some options

Two weapon fighting

Feint (that move equivalent one I forget the name)

Skill focus bluff if he already has that.

Iron will (cause rogues are weak willed)

Great fortitude (for those missed disable checks on poisoned traps)

Weapon finesse

Point blank shot if he wants to be a ranged sneak attacker.

Expert tactician (requires combat reflexes)

Quicker than the eye (not sure about the prereqs)

This isn't John, is it? ;)

Improved Initiative (attack them while they're flatfooted)
Spring Attack (to keep from having to end your turn next to a brute monster that can dish out 100 points in 1 round)
Weapon Finesse (much better in 3.5 than 3E)

Various +2/+2 skill feats are flavoursome:
Alertness
Stealthy
Acrobatic
Deft Hands
Nimble Fingers

Traps and Treachery has two great ones:

Improved sneak attack bumps the sneak attack damage die up one category to d8s.

Increased sneak attack range (I forget the prereqs) increases the sneak attack threatening range to 45'.

If he has a lot of ranks in Bluff (most rogues "I've met" would fall into this category), than Improved Feint (3.5 PHB) is a must.

What feats does he already have?

if he's thinking to be an assassin type, have him take improved initiative then deathblow.

death blow allows you to do a coup de grace as a standard action instead of a full round action. All situations need to be the same, person has to be helpless.

Not sure what you mean about the John thing. No Johns in the group.

I guess these suggestions are ok, though we all generally think the Feats for Skills option is ass. But he was looking for something that was uniquely cool for a Rogue.

Yeah, I remember Deathblow. What's it from?

Eh, his Bluff skill isn't that high, although I'd let him rejigger his skill points considering this is the first time he's played the new edition.

He's considering taking a level of fighter to get two feats and the ability to use any weapon. He doesn't have Combat Expertise, which he'd need for Improved Feint.
