I got a strange idea for a Monk build.
Class: Monk
Race: Elf
Subrace: High Elf
Background: Jester
Specialization: Divine Magic Specialist
Cantrip: Minor Illusion
Skills: Perform, Balance, Escape Artist, Sneak, Tumble, Climb, Spot, Listen.
List of Manvuevers by level 10: Flurry of Blows, Step into the Wind, Mighty Extertion, Hurricane Strike, and Deflect arrows.
El'rican the Crass aka the former Abbot Alizon had been happy to contemplate the Seldarine both as Gods and as a metaphor for his own soul at the Shining Grove Monastary which he'd governed for a hundred years.
Sadly this was not to be his destiny as on a trip to a reknowned sage, his Monastary was burned down and destroyed and its people scattered, by a grouo of human nobles.
For a decade he searched to no avial, until het met an old retired Jester. It was the stories of this old Jester about his access to the noblity, that inspired the vengeful mon.
In exchange for a cut if the profits, the old Jester taught the Monk how to entertain, and made suggestions on how the monks skills could be of use as an entertainer.
Now he goes from Manor to Castle, searching out clues about the men that attacked his monastary and taking vengence where he can.
He's a master of skills, martial arts, and even dabbles in divine magic, although he knows little about Orthodoxy, being more interested in mediation and contemplation, then dogma and research.
