First the bad news, the annoying flipbook format is still here, but everything else is great.

Polyhedron has Shadow Chasers, a preview of D20 modern. Looks good for a Buffy, X-Files, Friday the 13th, or Night Stalker styles campaign.
There are also updates on the RPGA and upcoming D20 Products. Also, an interview with Mike Mearls.

Dungeon just keeps looking better! This issue we get:
Challenge of Champions IV: This time you may need Resurection insurance.
Critical Threats: The Vortex: A simple hazard you can just drop into an adventure.
The Rock and the Hard Place: A high level Short Trek.
Bogged Down: Beware! This adventure contains Dire Opossums.
Sloth: A forest Short trek.
Critical Threats: Gnarlcrown: For the Undead slayer who has seen everything.
The Legend of Garthulga: This one has to be read to be belived, but it is great for 1st level characters.
Kambranex's Machinations: If you liked the Sheen from Dragons #258 & #270, you will like this adventure. It includes a Half-Machine Template for mechanical monsters.

Two comments:
I hated the art on Shadow Chasers. I had flashbacks to watching stupid cartoons on nick with my daughter. The art is thoroughly lame. WotC needs to get rk post back to do some of their moody modern stuff.

Also, I find the idea of a "smart hero" "strong hero" "determined hero" etc. to be thoroughly bland.

Challenge of Champions IV: This time you may need Resurection insurance.

Nice thing about this one: it is open to ALL levels.

Critical Threats: Gnarlcrown: For the Undead slayer who has seen everything.

My players have been there, done that.

Kambranex's Machinations: If you liked the Sheen from Dragons #258 & #270, you will like this adventure. It includes a Half-Machine Template for mechanical monsters.

This one is very cool, and actually the first Dungeon in a long time that had an adventure I had immediate use for.

Finally, while the flip book thing doesn't bother me, I am not to keen in the change of page graphics! They went and gave it borders and background like the core books have... a little bit TOO familiar.

I think I liked issue 90 better though. Not only did I think pulp adventures was a much better hack at a game, I think that I liked the tone and topic of the adventures better. There were three gems in 90, vice one real gem AFAIAC in 91.

I like the art in Shadow Chasers precisely because it's something different. The tagger doing the beholder is brilliant. If only the game that goes with it was better. It's no Pulp Heroes, that's for sure.

I'm with you Wolfspirit!

I have a big collection of Dungeon mags and am trying to collect the rest (that #1 issue goes for a freaking mint though :D )

I revist them frequently and am trying to build a nice little database of issues cross refernced to level, central monster/challenge, solo adventures etc I figure I'll be done sometime in the year 2030 :D

(Seriously off topic) I loved Friday the 13th (the series) during its first run, and sent years looking enviously at TV listings for the Sci-Fi channel, since they were showing repeats. A few months ago I finally got Sci-Fi, and what do they do? End the Friday repeats. I think I'll go cry now.

I know what you mean, my Cable added Sci-Fi channel just as they stopped showing Dr. Who and Comedy Central as they stopped showing MST3K :(

I don't like it because there's a part of my easily-fooled brain that says, "Man, look how much Dungeon I still have to read!" Then I hit that first upside-down page, and the aforementioned chunk of gullible grey matter feels pretty dumb.
Since I don't use any of Polyhedron's contents so far, I feel a little cheated at having so much of my magazine unusable. I know that there's still as much Dungeon content as there was before and at the same price, but there ya go. However, it seems like others enjoy it, so I'll keep my grumblings mostly to myself.

I must admit I've never been a real fan of Dungeon magazine as I have little use for pre-written adventures. I've gotten some ideas for different things from Dungeon but for me Dragon is the better magazine.
However, these last two issues have gotten me actually reading Dungeon and looking harder at the content. I was a little skeptical at first about combining Polyhedron with Dungeon but now I actually enjoy it. Even the flip covers is a cool idea that actually makes sense.
