Are you a master painter or something?
No, but better than either the paint jobs that are typical for the D&D Miniatures line or the person that I am painting it for. :) Mine look good on the tabletop, and I used to win the competition at the local game store pretty frequently (usually for units rather than single minis).

I think that I average about an 8 out of 10, with 7s more frequently than 9s (but I used to produce a lot of 8s). Years ago I used to make money painting minis, but time is more precious these days.

The master painters out there can make my jaw drop. :) (The folks who can paint illumination.... Mmmmm.....)

Thanks for all the XP guys and thanks for the comments. I've been a collector of D&D minis since Harbinger. I am mostly a completionist but eventually stopped trying to get every mini since some just weren't needed. I'd say I have 99% of the minis released to date - and still eagerly awaiting more!

I hope to get a better display setup once the D&D room gets completed. Right now its awaiting drywall.

FWIW, I collect D&D books too. I still have all the basic/1e/2e/3e and 4e stuff. I mine them for ideas and quite often make use of the Ravenloft material as its incredibly inspirational.

At any rate, glad you guys enjoyed the pics!

PS - You are all safe from the mini army - unless you are one of my players! ;)

Whether or not you've got one of each mini ever released doesn't matter ... it looks like you've got multiples of just about every mini you have got, including some of the very expensive ones. Your top shelf alone is probably worth hundreds of dollars!

I just spent a rather painful amount of money on SWM and DDM singles, but your collection would cost a small fortune to put together now. Jealousy doesn't even begin to describe it ... ;)
