This is cool, but I'd rather see it on WotC's website either as a freebie or a full-on article in Dragon. Actually, wasn't there already at least one Grand History update on WotC's site earlier?

Yeah, an update on the Moonshae Isles was posted on the WotC website early last year GHotR: The Moonshaes But even that update only covers events before the Spellplague.

Didn't WotC say that they weren't ever going to detail the history between the ending years of 3.x FR and 4e after the timeline jump?

They may have said that at one time, but I extremely doubt that they're going to let such a gap go completely unexplored.

Then again, look at the gaps in my favorite franchise...
