Grappe and the Melee Touch Attack - help please!

So, when a character is initiating a grapple, and goes for the melee touch attack ("Step 2") to grab on, what are the modifiers for this attack? BAB+Str+anything else?

Anything that will modify the melee touch attack, which is strength (or dexterity if you have weapon finesse), BAB, weapon focus (grapple), etc.
