Grapple (Multiple Grapplers)

(unless using bows, then it's no problem at all, as they can all be at max range if they want, since we are only worrying about natural 20's).

Ohhh. I see. So now they have bows? Ya' know, eventually you're argument is gonna end up with 300 goblins, all of which are armed with command word activated wondrous items of maxed-out Fireballs. :p

EDIT: By the way, you can bet your arse that a high level fighter is gonna have some form of DR or another, and you don't need much against a dagger. Unless of course the 300 goblins suddenly have 300 +1 sure striking daggers. :D

5% of 300 is 60? :D

Uh, well, that is, er, uh.....

Okay, you got me. So only 15 hit. And the fighter mows down the goblins at an amzing rate and defeats the goblin horde single-handed.

This is the stuff that legends are made of!!

And people wonder how Drizzt can cut down 1000 Orcs. Sheesh. Like it'd be hard? :D

"...so there I was, facing down thousands of goblins with nothing but my sword, my armor and my wits, and nobody friendly around for 100 miles in any direction."

"Yeah, yeah.... And then what happened?"

"They attacked without mercy. It was awful. They cut, and slashed and fired arrows and threw daggers and rocks at me."

"Yeah, yeah.... And then what happened?"

"I killed hundreds of them, but they just kept coming. They slowly were chipping away at me. Dozens of cuts appeared on me and my armor was getting dented in hundreds of places."

"Yeah, yeah.... And then what happened?"

"They attacked without mercy. And then they managed to break my sword!"

"Yeah, yeah.... And then what happened?"

"I continued to fight with nothing but my fists. I killed many more until I was exhausted, and still there were many, many hundreds left."

"Yeah, yeah.... And then what happened?"

D00d, you have just described Roland's death at Roncesvalles!!!1! Well, except for the breaking the sword bit. That was just too far-fetched.
