Great D&D article in today's Boston Globe!

It was article about bostongamers that got me back into the hobby in '99, after a 20-year hiatus. I miss Boston - did a lot of good gaming there.

Gotta love seeing the positive articles rather than the "Why Don't They Grow Up?" variety.

Thanks for the heads up, PC :D

Any bets on whether the author failed to properly take notes?

I've never played in a crusade, but I've done a number of campaigns.

As CCamfield pointed out, and error here and there hardly matters considering who the audience is (overwhelmingly not the RPG crowd).

It also could hardly be expected for a complete newcomper to immediately grasp all the jargon used in D&D. 'Campaign' in D&D has a specific meaning, an obvious deriviate of its wargaming roots but not at all the same.

I'll jump on the band wagon and say it is refreshing to see something publicly read painting gaming in a favorable light....

That and it feels good to know that I can point to a heckler and laugh ;)

Hurm...in Boston, eh? Methinks PKitty had something to do with this article.... ;)

I am very glad to see it, no matter the devious machinations of our beloved peg-legged feline! :p

Good publicity for Danger Planet Games. I live just one town over and I've never been to that particular store. Judging by their web site they seem to be big on Warhammer and card games, and not so much on RPGs. Any of you Bostoners been there? What kind of selection do they have compared to , say, Pandemonium or Compleat Strategist?
