Greatest book ever

This book is a classic example of the dispensably indispensable - you don't really need it, but man, it sure is one of those books I'd rather not do without.

I join with others' opinions. I haven't yet run planar adventures, since my players were low-level, and I didn't want to spoil the theme for low-level characters, but Manual of the Planes is a pure pleasure even only to read .

I am just reading through the Manual of The Planes in work and I have come to the conclusion it is one of the best books available for D&D 3rd edition.
Anyone agree?

The 3e version is even better than the 1e version, which is saying a lot.

i have to say that i was disappointed that the following 3e books haven't been as good as this one. Particularly, Deities and Demigods which should have been a toolkit for making gods in the way that MotP was a toolkit for cosmologies...

insted they give us stats and don't even giuve us complete guidelines for how they achieved those stats...
