Through out ones gaming time, they encounter many opponents, some presentign minor obstacles, some possesing the power to destroy entire worlds.

The poll is a simple one, who do you think is the greatest villian of all time. Please vote and give reasons.

I apologize. I was being sarcastic.

Tone does not carry well, but things such as smileys and laughs (example: "heh") are usually a good sign of the tone intended.

If you are interested in villians, then you may want to read more. Game of Thrones and Othello (the source of Iago) come to mind.

If at all possible, I would actually have used my vote to vote against Sephiroth. Talk about overrated. The guy wears a black trenchcoat, carries a cool sword, has long hair and a bad attitude. Oh, yeah, and no personality. Hehe. In terms of strictly Final Fantasy villains, ol' Seph ranks extremly low on my list.

On a lighter note, how did Maul make the poll, yet Vader is nowhere to be seen? Blasphemy!

Captain Hook claws into the competition, however.

I also like Victor von Doom.

Iago was cool until he completely self destructed in the end. He does one of the best set up jobs I have seen though.

Darth Maul was cool until he talked.

The emperor is only OK.

Sephiroth who?

One of the PCs in my ravenloft game is going for most evil villain ever, not greatest, just most evil.

Yep. John Byrne was the master at writing Dr. Doom, just a hair ahead of Stan Lee. After Byrne left the FF they slid down the crapper fast. Simonson did a nice run but it was never the same.
