Green Ronin -- 3.5 Holy Warrior for Book of the Righteous?

Listlurker

First Post
It's literally been years now since the Book of the Righteous was released and, although a 3.5 conversion for the Holy Warrior class (deity-specific paladins) in TBotR was indicated over on the GR boards, nothing has appeared as yet.

TBotR is a fantastic deities book for D&D -- a book without equal, in my opinion -- but the Holy Warrior class is pretty much crucial to making TBotR work as intended. If the 3.5 updated Holy Warrior has already appeared somewhere, I'd appreciate knowing it; if there are actually no scheduled plans to update the Holy Warrior class, I'd appreciate hearing that too. Being told "we're working on it" and then hearing nothing for months and years is very frustrating. At this point, any definite answer would be appreciated.

Thanks,

LL

It's going to appear in one of our Advanced rulebooks, probably early in '06. We're doing a book that's a sort of "best of" of our Master Class series, plus a bunch of new material. It's possible we may release the holy warrior revision as a PDF on RPGNow before then too but that's not set in stone.

Jumping on the bandwagon (sorta)-

The Book of the Righteous is the single 3rd party publication I reccomend universally and without hesitation. Though no player has taken me up on it, its been available for use in every campaign I've run since its publication.

So if you guys publish ANY kind of 3.5 update on its material- PLEASE publicise the hell out of it!

Chris,

Just curious will this be like in the same series as "Advanced Rule books?" I ask because it appeared (to me at least) with Advanced Race Codex, you were updating and adding stuff from the Races of Renown. (At least the humaniod ones...)

There's supposed to be an "Advanced Class Codex" or something coming out in '06, updating the Master Class series of books. (At least that's what I've gathered)

This consumer (and fellow BotR evangalist) say "YES PLEASE!" to a 3.5 pdf update on RPGNow! I have both my hands up, and my feet for good measure - that's four votes!

I'll say this much - I would put it to immediate use. I have sort of been assuming they were there all along in my game, but handwaving/grandfathering the mechanics.
