[Green Ronin] Book of Fiends in the House!

Ho. Ly. Cow. This thing looks good!

My copy /finally/ arrived in the mail today, and I took a look at it over lunch. A good indicator of quality is how many adventure ideas an RPG product can produce. And right now my head is spinning with ways to inject these terrible things into my campaign.

Vessel of Orcus: blah! A friend of mine had a similar concept, once but to actually see this horror illustrated . . .

All of the daemons look nasty, and the new demons and devils seem cool as well. Nice to see the Abyssal Dragon template, at home with all its f(r)iends.

I only had a chance to do a couple of quick stat checks, but it looks like the few "known" problems with AotA and LoH have been addressed, like the Herlekin's CR.

This book looks really, really nasty -- which, given the subject matter, is the same thing as saying it looks great.

Is the advanced bestiary a redoing of the monster manual or a wholly new monster set?

It's all new material. Basically, over 100 templates with several sample monsters to go with each.

Thanks very much! Everytime I look at the Book of Fiends on my desk, it makes me smile.
