True20 Quarterly is Green Ronin Publishing’s quarterly magazine devoted to True20 Adventure Roleplaying. Currently, we’re looking for submissions that fit the following categories:

Adventures: 2,500-5,000 word adventures that rely solely upon the True20 Adventure Roleplaying book. An adventure should be fully playable using only the information contained in the main rules and the adventure itself. We are especially interested in adventures that showcase non-standard genres.

Campaign Settings: 8,000-16,000 word mini-campaigns. A mini-campaign should present an overview of the setting and important characters/creatures, any optional rules necessary, as well as a selection of adventure seeds. A map, while not necessary, is always appreciated. A campaign setting should include everything a Narrator needs to start running adventures set in the new world.

Monsters, Treasures, and Stuff: 1,000-5,000 word articles focusing on a single new monster, a horde of related treasure items, new feats, new skill challenges, and anything else that can be compressed into bite-sized bits will always be looked at.

Supplementary Material for Official True20 Worlds: We are interested in articles and adventures based on the official True20 worlds found in the main rules and Worlds of Adventure, though you must secure permission from the copyright holder before submitting the work to us.

Payment
We pay based on final, published length, 90-days after publication. Payment is $0.005 per published word, paid through PayPal. Green Ronin Publishing owns all rights to material published in the pages of True20 Quarterly and Green Ronin Publishing will determine the OGC-declaration of any material published in True20 Quarterly.

Please note that True20 Quarterly is an excellent proving ground for new authors interested in working with Green Ronin Publishing or Ronin Arts on official True20 material.

Use of Existing OGC
Though an OGL-based game, we are not at this time interested in conversions or adaptations of existing OGC. Please submit only material based on the information found in True20 Adventure Roleplaying and your own imagination.

Submitting Material
Send your submission, as a Word, RTF, or text file, to Philip Reed at roninartspresident@yahoo.com. Though published by Green Ronin Publishing, True20 Quarterly is produced by Ronin Arts and it is Ronin Arts’ responsibility to deal with all submissions and payments.

Questions may also be directed to Philip Reed at the address above.

This is certainly clear, but I felt the need to at least ask: What about the magic system found in True Sorcery? Would, for example, campaign material using it be acceptable? I have a feeling this may be contract issue and the answer is "no" but thought I might not be the only one wondering.

This particular idea would definitely be acceptable.

As with all rules and guidelines, all you have to do is ask. We'll review separate requests/ideas on a case-by-case basis. The above is simply there to block out the potential flood of "converted monster"-type submissions.

Hello All,

I am very happy to announce that Expeditious Retreat Press has given me the go ahead to announce an open call for anyone interested in writing Nevermore-themed adventures for the True20 Quarterly magazine.

If you are interested, then please contact me at jaldaen@aol.com with your adventure proposals. Please include the following in your adventure proposal: a one-page synopsis of your adventure (including main characters, plot, setting, and anything else that might sell me on your idea), a short description of yourself (including your contact information, address, and relevant writing experience.)

If I like your synopsis, then I’ll give you the okay to write up your adventure for Nevermore and try to provide you as much help as my schedule provides. If your adventure idea is not accepted, then you can still write it up for True20 Quarterly, just not for Nevermore specifically and if its accepted by them then you’ll have proved me wrong and I’ll be happy for it

Those who successfully submit an approved Nevermore adventure to True20 Quarterly and get it published will receive a free Nevermore .pdf of their choice.

If you have any questions or adventure proposals then contact me at the above email.

Good Gaming,
Joseph

I for one think this is pretty cool.

To show my support for this project, I would like to say that I am very interested in seeing some people write Blood Throne supplemental material, so much so, that I'll be more than happy to get with anyone wanting to write adventures or small supplement (filling the requirements listed above in the submission guidelines) and give you additional insights into the material we're already working on for the upcoming Survivor's Guide to the Age of Blood.

Let me go one step further and state that anyone who submits a Blood Throne supplement for the True20 Quarterly that is actually published will get a free copy of the PDF when we release it this spring.

I will be watching these supplements closely, and , as I want to release other adventures and supplements for the blood throne setting, will likely be recruiting people for more work.

Interested parties can contact me at mdavidjarvis@yahoo.com

Thanks for your time.

Phil, do you want proposals submitted first, or just completed projects? Also, are you still doing this, given that you're working for Steve Jackson Games now?

Will you be including M&M material in the magazine? I'm especially keen on the M&M system and besides a small amount written for The Le Games, I haven't written nearly enough on this system.
