We reported earlier that WotC's communications director Greg Tito had left his 9-year stint managing the Dungeons & Dragons brand for a political appointment as Deputy Director of External Affairs for the Washington secretary of state's office.

In a surprising turn of events, Tito criticized his former employers, saying "It feels good to do something that doesn't just line the pockets of a**holes." He later went on to clarify "Sorry. I meant "shareholders".

Tito is now Deputy Director of External Affairs for the Washington Secretary of State office in Olympia, WA.

You’d hire a guy who badmouths his previous employer, in an extremely juvenile and petty way?

I had heard hiring standards have slipped. Guess so.
We work for horrible people/companies/countries. You don't hire people in my former line of work because you save a kitten from a tree you do so because you got caught throwing it off a cliff into a dumpster fire for laughs. Success and effectiveness is all that matters.

There is a huge spectrum between “save kitten from tree”, “normal amount of workplace crap”, and “badmouth former employer publicly and in a petty, juvenile way”.

I don’t save kittens from trees. I do work crap.

I never badmouth my employer. That’s pissant stuff.

I would but not on social media.

I don't really use it much anyway and avoid the worst topics and feed by not engaging.

Yes, we should all aspire to be as morally superior as you. 🙄
