Ok, we've got enough accurate guesses:

PHP/J-Script (maybe AJAX, if necessary) - characters can be saved into database w/password, printed (w/ printer-friendly coloring) and/or discarded.


Progress is slow, as we're having to develop some techniques as we go, but it's looking good so far.

Indeed, I do have a lot to live up to with the other offical GT electronic products - though mine can offer at least one thing those can't ... it's free

Huh, and a character creation program was the first thing I offered to pay for when Ben announced he'd like to have electronic aides produced.

Well, if KirinTor was charging me, I'd be charging you. But since he's working for free, the product is free.

I had to pay someone to create those other aides, so recouping that cost was important.

And for me, doing the _only_ official GT chargen for free was almost a no-brainer. I was looking at creating a basic chargen on my site anyway, using OGC from GT, and I just casually mentioned that to ben while we were discussing the XP calcualtor...this is where it went.

So really, with this setup, everybody wins.

Is their anything to update? I am quite interested in this program. As a new player (in glassjaws group) understanding character creation visually is great. I use an XLS sheet to create 3.5 PC's. I like the functionality of it. I can play around with stats switch the page and see how the final draft looks like. I added it so others might enjoy it. Their could be an updated Ver. out on RPGSHEETS.com

I'm afraid not much at the moment. The tables for the database have been setup, I'm just slowly populating them with data. Progress is slow, I'll update periodically when I have useful info...
