Grim Tales Character Generator

Progress is being made at a steady pace - all spare-time work, mind you, since I've got to keep a paycheck comming in as well.

Skills are almost complete in the Database, and up next is backgrounds then feats/talents.

As a point - the Char Gen is farther off than the GT-SRD premier. The GT-SRD is all of the information from GT necessary for character creation, which Ben is allowing to be released for _free_ in a very OGL way :-)

As soon as I have all the stuff Ben gave me to put into the DB ready, the site will open and the GT-SRD will be there, waiting for everyone.

GT SRD -- Yay!

Woohoo! A GT SRD! Thank you, Ben! I will definitely use it to spark up interest in GT sourcebooks and the "sword and planet" campaign I'm working towards running next Spring (just have to wind the current campaign down and bring it to a close successfully.)

BTW, does anyone know if there will be other GT sourcebooks? I loved Slavelords, and have heard about the GT Magic book, but are there any other plans?

With Regards,
Flynn

How goes the GT SRD?

Good morning, All,

Just curious as to how the GT SRD is going. Any news on that front?

With Thanks,
Flynn

Much progress has been made in the last week, although a several week slowdown hit progress pretty hard.**

I don't want to give a completion date, since the GT-SRD is truely only a pet project- albeit a favorite one and one I have much passion for. I can say with certainty it will be complete (minus any small errors users notice) by the close of 2005.

I _hope_ to have the GT Chargen done by then as well, but hopes are nothing more than dreams with passion. I do promise that it _will_ be completed, but it's hard to anticipate what kind of issues I could hit while developing it (including any increase in payed work).

**Take note the CMP has completed & is selling [& pre-ordering] all d20 Modern books up through d20 Past (only Apoc/Cyber aren't done). All of my time during the GT-SRD 'down' weeks went to building those.

I think a GT SRD would be great.

Some people are SRD detractors thinking that people won't buy the cow if...

But I disagree wholeheartedly.

I downloaded the SRD for BESM d20 and I've since bought 2 copies of the origional and 1 revised. Plus I like having the SRD handy.

I think this would be the thing that lets me actually see if GT is what I'm looking for.

Quick Thread Side-jack:

I was admittedly one of the ones proselytizing GT to you over the past few weeks, and having corresponded with you through other threads in that time, I'm leaning towards doubting if it will be a good match for you and your group. Your discussions with Heap Thaumaturist and myself on Modern and Spycraft d20 give me this impression. You are wise to either look over the GT or wait as a Christmas present as you noted earlier, because it may not go enough in the "Spycraft character philosophy" direction as you desire.

Always worth a look, of course. :)

Enough of my hijack.

Kirin'Tor, can't wait to see the SRD or the Chargen! Here's hoping by Xmas, 2005!
