Ha. Did You See...

...the guy who wrote into Dragon saying EN World was a bunch of internet geeks and "nobodies" who do nothing but blast Dragon? I mean, gee, as if that's not the pot calling the kettle black... of course we're geeks. We do play the game, despite what this guy obviously thinks (and said). Makes me laugh.

Its in the scale mail for issue 311.

Notice that despite all the crap both magazines have gotten on the boards in the past few months, the editor speaks up in the defense of the people who visit this site.

An olive branch? Or a challenge?

Shows you how wrong he is. We don't blast Dragon all the time. We blast Dungeon/Poly all the time.

Apparently you don't remember the Dragon succubus cover and the controversy... and the cancellation of subscriptions... and the people up in arms... and the mass hysteria... and city block sized fires that that ensued. I seem to remember someone trying to talk me into taking a job I wasn't even interested in as a result.

edit: just 4 posts to go

That's a shame, because I love Dragon. I'm seriously miffed that because I'm away from college for the summer, the forwarding is taking forever to reach me. They have some seriously high-quality issues. Heck, I'd say most of the stuff out of Dragon deserves an ENnie. Or maybe a pizza. Or maybe a pizza ENnie.

The fact that they put out 12 books with better quality, similar page count, and lower prices than most WotC books is quite a feat. I love that magazine, and hope the ENWorld Player's Journal can be nearly as successful some day. Okay, more accurately I hope we'll be more successful, but I'm willing to wait a few years for that. ;)
