Half Celestial Template

In a 3.5e Kalamar campaign my character has had the half celestial foisted up him. The template, IIRC, changes his Type to Outsider. The question is does he gain the Extraplanar or Native subtype?

Before the transformation he was a Human (Fhokki) Barbarian/Barbarian Oathkeeper (Mongoose PrC).

Outsider (native). Everyone is extraplanar if not on their home plane.

Size and Type: The creature's type changes to outsider. Do not recalculate the creature's Hit Dice, base attack bonus, or saves. Size is unchanged. Half-celestials are normally native outsiders.

That either sucks or is awesome, depending on how your DM runs it.

It should be quite awesome as instead of applying the +4 LA he is instead penalizing my XP until I make level - which ain't that far away.

On the downside - the party is in the middle of the 'City of the Bat' - which is full of undead and evil outsiders. So my character will attract them like a magnet. Still as long as take some of them with me.

So, you get a minor XP hit for +4 levels? I hope the other players get equally compensated, otherwise the campaign could suffer soon. But, enjoy it!

The other characters do have 'Additions' but none quite as good!

It all came about whilst we were playing a converted 1ed/2ed module (a Greyhawk one I think) when there was nearly a TPK, one character was killed, my character was taken to -7hp but managed to stabilise first go. The surviving character was offered a deal by the 'Boss of the Level' - a demon. It involved us being placed in a magical pool if the party agreed to do a favor for the demon.

I gained the aforesaid template and a change of gender!
The dead character was revived and given some immunites (IIRC)
The only conscious character gained a template and some more immunites.

This is why I'm a fan of Template Class levels! It's always fair
