Half-dragon as a class

Feat for that in draconomicon, any creature that's big enough to take it is welcome to it. However I don't feel like burning an ability slot on it.

Well I guess the real question at this point is whether the fear aura should be a set distance or should it improve with level.

Ok Installed the fear effect, next update will be the new natural attack options, and bonus feats.

How's the fear powers? not too strong are they?

Okay, spent all this time talking about the cool abilities I wanted the natural weapons to have and now I can't think of any.

Someone suggested a sword biting type maneuver how would that work? Some sort of Attack of opportunity type thing? Maybe once a round as a free AoO they can bite the weapon with a sunder bonus before the attack hits? Maybe unarmed opponents take regular damage as you chomp their limb? What level would that be at?

I think you are getting there, I think the tail swipe should be considered a trip. I also think the bite shouldn't sunder, in general it is a non-optimal form as it destroys loot.

I was kind of imagining it would be a slick way to get around.

Enemies getting wise to kick in the door? eat your way through a side wall. Sunder's good for more than breaking swords you know, it's a siege warfare tactic. I mean really the amount of damage you can do with creative sundering is just awesome. You know that trick were the hero takes out the supports and drops the roof on the villain? Imagine having that as S.O.P.

When you say the tail swipe should be considered a trip do you mean the basic attack or the free AoO against people flanking you?

1. Anyone can hack at a siege engine or structure, sundering is a CMB against items only.
2. I think it should be a free trip attempt, then they attack as they wish.
3. For the claws have you considered rake attacks somewhere in the teens?

Okay I'm really bad with these, what's CMB mean?

I'll look at the tail, I think you might be right about that one.

I considered the rake attacks, but that would require grappling and I wasn't sure I wanted to force the claw fighters into a grappling mold so I went with rapid strike and the improved version instead. That said if we wanna make the claws a grappling build I think it'd work out pretty well, I just have similar concerns about grappling that you seem to have about sundering.

So instead of sundering tricks what could we do with the bite?

Also I think I need to re-install a nat armor progression. How high should it be by level 20?

1. Combat Maneuver Bonus, sunder is a special check one uses to destroy items only. It can be an effective debuff, plus Combat Brute gives sundering cleave allowing left over damage to apply to the user and a free attack but as I said it destroys loot. I am not saying don't do it, just isn't optimal for treasure. Well I think bleeding damage could be good. I also wouldn't think some elemental damage after a breath weapon use wouldn't be a bad idea.
2. True, but I thought the option could give ideas.
3. I say cap around 7.

Hmmm what if the bite attack deals +1 point of elemental damage for each dice of breath weapon you have? or instead inflicts that much ongoing damage. ( i know ongoing damage is a 4e term but there's 3e versions of the same thing so it'd be workable )
