Half-Dragons. Do you used them? (And WotC's half-breed fetish)

dead, I recomend that you kill your player and then take his stuff.

you know, as an example to the others.

that or just make him play a half elf and give him no other options. abuse the dm's power.

Buttercup

I've had an idea for a game that will probably never be run that I give to you. Elves and orcs as we know them, are humans. The elven are descendants of the human babies kidnapped by Seelie fae and replaced by changelings and mutated by their time Underhill. The elven people are careful to refer to themselves as elven, meaning "owned by elves." This is a dark, dark secret the elven people have hidden for millenia.

Orcs are the same, however they were Unseelie changelings and have since lost most of their lore. They do, however, retain the deep racial hatred of all things elven instilled by the Unseelie.

As a result they are able to crossbreed with humans since they are a human variant.

I find it funny whenever someone has problems envisioning a half-dragon, but has no problems envisioning a guy in robes shooting fireballs out his arse. ;)

Anyways, back on topic, I've never allowed the half-anythings as PC's, but they do see extensive use as NPC's. In one game I'm playing in, an army of half-dragons is starting to take over the world. Fun stuff.

Thanks. This really is an interesting idea.

Okay, I'm not Buttercup, but...

*Steals idea for next campaign and runs away*

You're all welcome. If anyone does start a campaign around it and has the urge to post a story hour, let me know. I'd like to see how it evolves.

I pictured it as a hybrid of Raymond Feist's eledhel/Valheru conflict combined with the bi-polar Fae of various sources (heavily colored by Mercedes Lackey) set in the misty quasi-roman lands of Britain as seen in the recent movie Arthur. I'm curious where someone else's imagination takes them.
