Half-Elf fix In 3.5

Since many of the changes in 3.5 are based off of customer feedback, I think it's a conceit that has some basis in fact.

My vote is #11, add a 3.5 tag to the title, and keep the thread right here.

First, calm down. Second, the revised books aren't out yet anyway, and if this isn't in there, there is no basis in fact. Third, it doesn't matter if the revised books are based off of customer feedback. There are better places for that (such as in another thread).

The point is that this is a house rule, hands down. Simply having "revised" or "3.5" somewhere in the title or discussion doesn't justify a thread as anything more than a house rule. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, its probably a duck. This thread is definately a duck. I was merely pointing that out, and I was doing so in a light-hearted manner. I didn't mean to upset you, and I'm sure nobody else did either.

How about a +1 fort save for being a hardy half-breed? That's what kalamar does for the half-hobgoblin.

Yea someone mentioned that. Good idea but to me its not in line with elven parentage(low con etc)

Jeebus, man...lighten up a bit, I'm not upset at all. There's only about 20 or so threads talking about 3.5 in this forum right now. I don't think one more is a big deal. But if you don't like the thread, don't read it. And if you want it moved, contact the moderator or admin. They can move it for you.

I voted choice between feat and elven prof's.

I keep there ablities the way they are now. But I give them a choice of either an extra feat or the elven weapon prof's.
Basically this represents which culture they grew up in and/or embrace as theirs.

I used RaceCalc to check the balance of this version and it came back well within the norm.

If you don't know what RaceCalc is you should check it out. It helps take the guess work out of ECL's and making new races/templates. It's not perfect but it is close enough.
