Well, since there was no public outcry when it appeared in MMotM, there was no reason for WotC to change it for the playtest. And to be fair, it's perfectly serviceable, I just don't like the idea that the entire Elven people betrayed their creator for Lolth, even if most of them recanted.
 



Damn after seeing this thread I realize that I'm a racist for playing a half orc in bg3. BTW the half orc has a funny option when you bang the gith chic.
 

I like the word "kin".

For example "elf kin" includes all elves, anyone who marries into or adopts into the elven family, and ultimately anyone with an elven ancestor.

Kin is an inclusive term.

i don't see what problem you think this solves, or how you think it solves it, are you asking for an 'elf' creature type like humanoid or fey? but even if it existed that wouldn't apply to elf-adopted people or most of the long-decended like you just suggested it be given to, you just seem to be adding a meaningless label to solve an issue only you seem to have.
