You could always go with Warmage. Simply because it gives you light armor proficiency, spontaneous casting, and Intelligence Bonus to your damage spells that they cast from their list.
You might be able to get your DM to agree if you get the Battle Caster feat that instead of letting your Warmage part wear heavier armor, that it would allow your Evoker wear light armor without spell casting penalty since you have trained as a Warmage.
You could also ask him if you can use the Intelligence Bonus add on for the damage of your Wizard spells too possibly costing you a feat as well.
When you consider 2 feats to gestalt all that together you have a nice combination for this halfling character to play on.
