Halfling, yes but I don't know for the class

Too class kill the class

This character is the nearest thing to a paladin. He is a Truesword in the service of the hafling god of war, Arvoreen, and both his valiance and honor are unquestioned.

What do you think about : Paladin of Arvoreen 5 (from Champion of Valor, more skills and a new ability but lose divine heath) and why not blade bravo? but could a blade bravo use a shield and a short sword?

I'd like to recreate a "Truesword ", follower of Arvoreen.

I dislike the outrider halfling and It uses a bow... and I prefer the sword ;)

Swasbuclker 2 / Fighter 2 and next Swasbuclker 3 / Fighter 2 / Blade bravo

You could hit up wilder. That way you will have most of those skills (you could get the other through various feats) and the ability to create various fortifications (especially once you get fabricate).

With the astral construct power from a feat you can stay out of combat or even seem to be in more than one place at a time.

High charisma and decent int will allow you to be well liked but not necissarily happy.

If you like you could even pick up slayer with a favored enemy of your lands most fearsome foe.. although that is a bit of a cheap way out ;)

With all of that construction of stuff, how about an Artificer? Perhaps with a few Rogue levels thrown in to broaden the skill choices?

It's not the best for the game stats you list, but it seems like it would do well with the color.

What edition are you playing (in 3.5, you'd probably be using a small longsword rather than a shortsword) and what the heck is a blade bravo (I seem to recall some kind of bard kit like that from 2e, but I've never heard of it in 3.x)?

For that matter, why not just go with the champions of valor paladin of arvoreen class all the way up? As long as you like mounted combat, you'll do fine. If not, you can switch to Pious Templar after level 6 and be a non-mounted paladin. You'll probably want combat reflexes and close quarters fighting to avoid grapples and maybe some steadfast boots to avoid being tripped, as a pious templar, you have bonus feats, so you should be able to swing that.

If you want to be ranger focused on your home environment, check out the SRD Favored Environment Variant for the ranger.

It doesn't do much for your attacks but your environment based skills would be phenonemal (sp?) ... at 20 ranger, in your favored environment, you could potentially get a +10 bonus on Hide checks, for example.
