Halo Soundtrack?

Does anyone know where I can find tracks of music from Halo? Is there an official soundtrack, or perhaps some fan rips from the PC version? One of my friends found a program that ripped music from Planescape: Torment, and he impressed the heck out of me by playing some of it for me.

A friend of mine recently got Halo, and I've been loving it like crazy. I'd love to have some of the music. It'd help me get into my writing groove.

there were a few on ebay around a month ago or so. final price was $30-ish. came with a promo dvd as well. i missed out before but would love to get one (i only wanted to spend around $18 tops).

Wow, I thought I was the only one around looking for the soundtrack to Halo. I almost got a hold of one of those on Ebay, but since then...silence.

I bought the soundtrack on Amazon.com last year. I assume you can still get it there. They also sell it at Bungie's online store.

You guys realize that this is illegal, right? This is exactly the same as scanning in an PRG product and giving away copies...

Okay, I will not turn this into a debate, but that is grey area...but lets' be clear, I am not profiting from it. I am sorry if I am offending the 'morale' code, but the technology to permit this, was created by us humans.

It is like saying, for example, the pics taking at Gen Con, cost me in money to get more memory cards, and batteries, but yet, they are out in the public domain, free of charge, for anyone to view,and copy. But it is my hard work and time, true, could I profit, possible...but I don't, that is being picky, everything we do now, is shadowed by the gray field, and yes, I know, companies are taking steps to curtail the coping.

As you said, it is like coping an RPG, but it also applies to video, music, DVD and clothes (Damn, now I having a debate, which I didn't want), well, until the day, when I buy something and will be told that it can't leaves the confines of home or storage, that will be a whole new world....okay...enough from me.

Your point is understood and respected, and just to let everyone know, I do this on very rare occurances, for friends only.
