Hangout playtest forbidden?

How interesting that their FAQ states we cannot run our playtest games on Google Hangout. I don't understand that! My friends are scattered all over the country, so that was the only way I was going to get them together. It's ironic too, since Mike Mearls said he's done much playtesting of DND Next over Google Hangouts.

Who cares if I gather my friends virtually or in person? I understand why play-by-post or email would not constitute a real play-test, but Google Hangout? That just baffles me.

I'm disappointed by this too, since I also have no local friends to test the game with. I was expecting it, but still disappointed.

What on earth are they thinking? How can they enforce that? I mean, if I play with some webcams and headsets, what's the darned difference?
