The Glen

Legend
Do we know this, or is this just people trying to figure out why they'd sideline Mystara in favor of the Forgotten Realms? (Everything is sidelined in favor of the Forgotten Realms.)
There was an official q&a back at the beginning of the where the hosts made an offhand comment about the setting, then later apologized. They also seemed to only know about Red Steel only. Around the same time one of the original contributors asked about it and was rebuffed about opening it up. Another interview around the time of Radiant Citadel talked about things that were problematic in D&D and what they were uncomfortable about publishing, with slavery/genocide and real world cultures being called out specifically and any settings that showcase them. Which are Dark Sun and Mystara.

They haven't flat out said we aren't doing Mystara, but have shown little interest and talked about its core elements not being something WOTC wants to approach

Mystara wasn't translated into Spanish languange. FR, Greyhawk, Ravenloft, Planescape, Dark Sun or Dragonlance, but not Mystara, Spelljammer or Birthright

According the Vaults of Pandius TSR published through Dalmau Carles Mystara, FR and Dragonlance, though only Dragonlance sold well enough to get significant publications. DL had triple the number of books translated compared to the rest of the settings combined

Hmm. That still leaves the most popular parts of Mystara -- Karameikos and Glantri -- in play, IMO.

Given how zoomed-in WotC prefers its settings nowadays, I could easily see them doing an adventure/setting book (see Strixhaven, but preferably not bad, for example) set in Glantri City.
