Has anyone heard more about the new Alien vs Predator Movie ?

All I have to say is... IT'S ABOUT FRICKING TIME!!!!
Ever since Predator 2 showed the Alien skull in the Predator's ship there has been talk of a movie like this. I'll be there for this one.
I had also heard that Weaver was interested in doing another Alien movie, actually 2 more movies one of which would be an Earth War. She would also be one of the producers too (IIRC she was one for Alien 4 : Resurrection). I wish I could remember where I read that, I hate it when that happens.

Crap! I was hoping it would be based on the comic series. To bad that really was a cool story, hopefully the idea thier going with won't turn out to be some lame Thing rip off.

Reading that article that Ashrem linked to left me with several comments and concerns.
For one thing, is there any thought to who would play the Predator(s)? I'd heard that Predator 3 was thrown away when Kevin Peter Hall, the actor who played the Predators in both previous movies, passed away.
Also, why would the Predators be interested in Alien eggs? They use them as prey to hunt, we know from the various books and comics, but they aren't so crazy about them as to follow them to Antarctica, given that they love heat, and thats the ice-pit of the Earth.
That said, I'd not heard anything about Alien 5 or Resident Evil: APocalypse (I thought the next movie would be Resident Evil: Nemesis). Can anyone fill me in with information on any of these?
