Almost certainly. The categories are Boys, Games and Puzzles, Girls, Preschool, and Other.

Other is almost certainly non-operating revenue since it had less than $625,000 revenue in the year.

Wonder what exactly is in the "Other" category.

If I had to guess, could it be interest collected on Hasbro's cash in the bank?

Well OTHER could have a part of WotC in it, and be things like online games that aren't directly tangible products that are sold.

This would include DDi int he OTHER category...as well any shirts or stuff with D&D logos. Wasn't there a gnome "RAWR Im a monster!" shirt for sale at Jinx one time?

At less than 700k total annual net revenue (down from $3M the previous year), 'Other' almost certainly does not include any operational revenue.

It probably contains interest earned, windfall revenue (court settlements), capital gains from assets sold, sub-lease rent received, and other such sundry "stuff" that happens over the course of the year that the accountants don't want in any of the operational buckets.

WotC is almost certainly a small part of the 'Games and Puzzles' category.

I don't know...CB online could have caused a mass cancellation of subscriptions.

What if those numbers are for such in the OTHER?

I mean we are all working on speculation afterall.

1) Because these reports look behind and not ahead. Even if every last person cancelled with the changes, there would be more than 700k revenue from Jan - Dec 2010.

2) Because DDI is not the only online product by Hasbro -- there is a very significant Magic the Gathering online revenue stream and Hasbro's new online "Hub" as well. There is no way 'Other' could be thse streams.

3) Because you always need a place to stash revenues earned that are out of the ordinary so investors know how much you've earned and if it falls into the general expectations for the company.

4) Because the amount (700k) is so miniscule compared to te general net revenues (4B) that is is just money that they tripped over.

By chance, are you an accountant by profession? ;)

(You speak just like my friends who work as accountants for a living).

GOOD LORD NO!

I'm an Enterprise Architect. Financial modeling and investigation is a necessary evil of the profession though especially when you get into merger/acquisition investigation. You really don't want to rely on my consistent and prudent nature :)
