Hasbro/WotC's movie problems

At least TF:2 proved why hollywood need writers...even bad writers. Thanks to a writer's strike, most of the "stupid human tricks" were ad-libbed.

Still, though...Peter Cullen's serves as a switch for my brain - he turns it off at the prologue speech and turns it back on at the epilogue speech. That, and my qualifications for a good Transformers movie is stuff that turns into giant robots that blow stuff up. That qualifier was satisfied.

I am a little annoyed that the "nearly unreconisable pile of junk" design motife for scifi flicks has become the hot thing for the genre, spawned by Transformers. After the "lived in"/military space look of BSG, SG1+, Firefly, etc. I've been looking forward to a return to sleek and sexy spacecraft design, which has only been slated by Star Trek back in 2009.
