With all the talk about haste being unbalanced, and almost certainly being nerfed in 3.5e, I thought I'd ask what people think of this spell from Savage Species.
Lion's Charge is a 1st level druid spell, and 2nd level wizard spell. It lasts one minute per level, and has a touch range. The target can make full attacks when they charge.
Now, getting to move and take a full attack when you is the primary benefit that I've seen fighter types get from the haste spell. Lion's Charge is arguably better than this in some situations, because you can charge up to twice your normal movement distance and attack. Also, one minute per level is better than one round per level.
Obviously, due to the ability to cast two spells a round, and the +4 AC bonus, haste is currently far better, but it should be, since its 3rd level instead of 1st/2nd.
If haste gets downgraded to something like the d20 Modern version (+2AC, +30' movement, +1 attack during a full attack), I think I'd rather have Lion's charge cast on me instead of haste.
