Have the PCs in your party seen each other naked?

The party my PC is with had a wild and crazy day of skinny-dipping and lazing about. The general lechery transpired, of course, the last session before I joined up. So THEY'VE seen each other nekkid. My character has kept his air of nobility and otherness and perfection. Awesome perfection.

This thread is hilarious :)

In the game I'm running, we have an elf who's a bit of a ladies' man. Anyway, an assassain sent to kill him decided it would be easiest to do the deed if she seduced him first. So anyway, she attacked him while they were getting busy. Got a free sneak attack, I might add. There was a brief chase that led the two of them down to the ground floor of the inn (don't remember who was chasing who). They were running around the bar butt naked throwing chairs and glassware at each other before the assassain escaped, still in the buff.

Interesting night. I don't think there's been too much nudity apart from that. The same elf is now with another party member, so the two of them have presumably been naked together, but we haven't really given that a whole lot of thought.

Yeah, I think every group I've been in, the PCs have just casually seen each other naked. At a communal bath/hot spring or some mishap while adventuring. Three of the PCs in one group were all brothers, so it was an especially small deal for them. Though I do remember once when two PCs were captured and stripped, one woke up completely naked while the other had his loin cloth still strapped on. The naked one got kinda pissed off.

Nope, but they've seen my character topless and when you're posessed by a blood demon, have black skin, and tattoos in the shape of eyes on your chest no one wants to see any more.

It's just no big deal. For people that sleep in the wild, fight alongside each other on a daily basis, nudity certainly is something completely natural. Just because someone is nude, it doesn't imply sexuality. These modern thoughts don't really seem to fit.
I find this thought backward. Modern thoughts are far more relaxed about nudity than medieval thoughts. Back then, it was scandalous for a lady to reveal an ankle, let alone be completely naked. Parties where nakedness is "completely natural" are the ones displaying modern thoughts. Back in the day, a man wouldn't even stay in the same room with a woman in a nightgown, let alone a naked one, unless she was his lover.

Actually, medieval attitudes toward nudity appear to vary a great deal and are often hotly debated in historical circles.

For my money I would guess that through most of the period ideas about nudity were fairly relaxed, or rather casual. Most bathing was done either in some sort of public or with servants. Lots of people tended to live in the same bedroom and it's not like anyone is going to swim with clothes on if they can help it.

Toward the later parts of the period things were probably more prudish. Bathing was less of a big deal, and the ankle thing is a pretty late anecdote.

But again, attitudes tend to vary wildly.

I would assume that my parties have all seen each other naked. People do tend to be treating each other's wounds.

It's actually a major issue for a character I'm working up. Sometime before the campaign will have started, the character was captured by hostile individuals and tortured for several days. Though he survived, he still has many scars over his body, and is quite ashamed of them (both because of the physical appearance, and because of the reasons he was captured).

However, I've never had a situation in prior games where PCs saw one another naked, so it may never come up. :)

.... yeah, I got that feeling right now.

Seconded!

It depends on the game. In the one set in magicified 1800's Europe, f'instance, most characters haven't even seen themselves naked. On the other hand, the one featuring a nomadic horsefolk culture where the hands are regarded as private, erogenous zones but the rest of the body isn't, I imagine everyone got an eyeful.
