Let's not forget that every single non-kalashtar, non-elf, non-warforged creature that learns about the kalashtar still goes to the realms of the Quori every single night.

Every. Single. One.

Dal Quor is the ultimate Big Brother. The Quori aren't hunting the kalashtar in the real world, but also in the dreams of every creature. So the kalashtar MUST be secretive.

Why didn't the 5 Nations develop a psionic arms race? 'Cause magic was much more common and readily useable. Now that the Inspired are starting to pop up in the courts of Khorvaire, maybe the Next War will be fough in the minds of people, not on battlefields.

But only the DM knows for sure.

I understand that you want a world where every third spell caster is a psion, but the fact that Eberron isn't doesn't mean its illogical, it just means its not to your liking.
Ta-daa! Graf is the winner of the thread!

"We...are the champions...my friend!
And we'll... keep on fighting...'til the end....
We are the champions!
We are the champions!
No time for losers 'cause we are the champions...
of the world!"

Congrats! Great post, Graf!

I have not yet played/DMed Eberron. I'd really like to, though, and I think my players want to try Age of Worms in Eberron. I know I do, my wife definitely does, and one other player has been asking about it. I agree with whomever said it'd be great to have a 1-20 adventure path focused on Eberron. Anyway, I'll let you know whether I'm disillusioned after I've run a campaign in the setting.

Things I like:
  • The druidic sects
  • Dragonmarks
  • Interesting gnomes
  • Interesting history
  • The Prophesy
  • Artificers
  • Psionics has a place, but it isn't "in your face"
  • Half-elves as a separate, logical race
  • Necrophile elves (which I would have never come up with)
  • Khyber (funny, because I loathe the notion of the Underdark)
  • Unique cosmology
Things I'm not so fond of:
  • Warforged
  • Sharn
I don't really hate anything about the setting, but those two are things I'd minimize. A warforged PC and an occasional NPC are fine, but the Lord of Blades won't be a plot point in my game. Similarly, Sharn might be used as a home base and have something occasionally draw the PCs' interest, but I won't be running any of those "Sharn only" campaigns some people talk about.
