Have you bought any books because they won an ENnie?

One of the discussions regarding the future of the Ennies is centered around whether receiving an award causes an increase in sales. So I ask everyone here, have you purchased a product because it won an Ennie (silver or gold)? If so, which one(s)?

Well, I haven't yet. But before our game tomorrow, I'll be picking up Grim Tales. You tried to convince me before, but the Ennie clinched it. Your book I already owned.

Edit: I already owned most of the other D20 books too, but I guess I'm not the typical RPG shopper, eh?

I haven't bought any books because the *won* an Ennie. I have bought books because they were *nominated* for an Ennie. I would try to list a few of them from previous years, but to be honest I am brain dead right now. My wife and I welcomed a new soul into the world two days ago and I am not really here mentally yet. I will say that I am looking at some of the current Ennie Nominees for this year and listing some of them on my to-buy list.

These are a few of the Ennie Nominees that I am considering for purchase
that weren't previously on my to-buy list. Some of them I was not aware of being in existence (Dangerous Denizens), some I vaguely remember hearing about (Sidewinder), some I have kind of blown off as unnecessary (Torn Asunder, any adventure) and I am reconsidering those knee-jerk assessments.

Now, Torn Asunder will probably catch your attention because it is a bastion product. To be honest, I looked at the concept and thought it sounded a little too much like Arms Law. Mind you, I haven't really flipped through it. I don't have a LGS that I frequent because I don't find them to be terribly Friendly. But it was nominated for an ENnie and that says a lot for me. I will be checking it out to see if it can add value to my game.

It's not an assured purchase, but the Ennies are strong enough to make me aware of products, or to reconsider my initial blow-offs.

No, because I pretty much forget which books won ennies about 10 minutes after reading the winner list.

Though actually, I do remember that the Lost City of Barakus book won for best adventure, and I do plan on getting it when I'm not broke. But I wanted it anyway.

Grim Tales was a no-brainer for me, and I loooove Sidewinder: Recoiled. There are a few others on my to-get list, but I haven't been by the store recently.

Definitely! - Or nominated for that matter. A book that is good enough to be nominated is probably a book that deserves some further attention if it previously slipped past my radar ( and i'm interested in the subject matter).

MMS:WE comes to mind immediately, but I know there are others too.

I'm trying to get my hands on Torn Asunder, which I had no knowledge of before it won an ENnie.

But that is the only one that I have been influenced on this year.

In the first two years when Ambient was still around, I learned of them through their success in the ENnies. That's the only one that I recall without actually going back ands reading the winners list.
