"Kittens give Morbo gas."

The only reason we cry is because of laughter. D&D (for us) is a game for fun and stress-relief, not something we get to emotional about.

Yes...well, a Storyteller rather than a DM, but the end result is the same.

It was a LARP, and rather than saying "I toss a drink in your face for your impertinence" he actually tossed a drink in my face (and I was wearing a new shirt!).

I threw a pretty heavy punch into his gut, and when he was breathing normally again it was through sobs.

I think I almost made a DM cry today, though it was hard to tell due to the nature of online conversations. ;) He's not the DM I'm playing with now, though.. another friend is starting up a new D&D game, and he's a numbers monkey like me... I was describing how I'd modified a nasty frenzied berserker build I found on the WotC boards and planned out my progression already, and he was like "sounds cool!" So I was describing the insanity of the new character to the first DM I mentioned - and he (at least, last time I played with him a few years back) was very much a low level specialist, he always had trouble making interesting or balanced encounters above about 6th level. Then I started telling him about how I wanted to convince another player to play a tactical monk (stunning fist, freezing the lifeblood) to set up punching bags for my greatspear and free sneak attacks for the rogue... I think he really would cry if I had the opportunity to play in his game again. ;)
