Yeah, I made jokes during the operation, too. The doctor had no problem with the right side vas, but the left kept slipping away from him. I said "It's because he saw what you did to the guy across the hall."

He gave me a funny look, too.

I don't think doctors are used to patients cracking jokes during vasectomies........?

Good One! My wife and I have been discussing this too. We can't with two kids in college and one in private school there is no way can fund another kid and being in our 40's we don't want to face the increased risks of complications. I hope I can be as bold when the time comes.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like I can handle it.

[sblock] Usually those first injections with the local are the only part of dental stuff that are particularly unpleasant too, so I can handle that. Being over forty I get annual pokes prods and squeezes so I should be able to tolerate that as well. [/sblock]

Guess it is time to talk with my doc.
