Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

Never have. The WotC locator tool is useless - it shows over a dozen stores in my area that participate in Adventurer's League, but most of them actually don't. When I call to check, half of them haven't heard of it before, and the other half said they used to, but stopped a year ago or more. There is one store in the next town over that has an active running game, but it's a 45 minute drive away, and happens right in the middle of my workday. My normal gaming group once tried to run a home AL game, but we found the restrictions too restricting for no benefit.

I play a lot of Adventure League, about 75% of my 5e is AL - at stores, online with Roll20, or hosted at my house. The remaining 25% is homebrew campaigns.

Love AL. I've organized for several local conventions. I've run at several local stores and host a Wednesday night game. Also ran at GenCon and am thinking of going again or doing Origins.

I run games for local DMs that run public games, mostly for AL but also non-AL game DMs.

I also make sure to run three games at least at FreeRPG day, those a re usually not AL and often not D&D, and makes for a long day. However being active in AL has opened many doors and I've met so many great gamers.

I voted "no" as I've never intentionally played in anything such, but it occurs to me that as I have an RPGA membership number and as the only possible reason for me to have ever acquired such would be to play in a "sanctioned" game (probably at a GenCon), I guess I in fact have without realizing it. But, as that one game would represent maybe .001% of my lifetime's D&D experience, I'll still count myself as a 'no'. :)

When I decided to get back into role playing and bought 5e, with the intention of running a campaign as a DM, I wanted to get some play experience under my belt first and see more experienced DMs running a game. I joined an AL game at a local con. It was first 1st level, and I think all of the players created their characters there on the spot, so it was very balanced. I had a lot of fun and greatly appreciate WoTC and all the DMs that participate. Now that I'm running my own campaign, I don't have time, but after this campaign ends, I may take a break and join an AL game at one of the local FLGS nearby.

One of the things I love about it is the community. Gaming with and for other DMs and a great community of players. I also appreciate seeing a lot of other DMing styles and techniques. One of my favorite things is seeing a new DM blossom and grow into a great DM.

No.

I avoid going to game stores unless I absolutely must (even then, I always take a friend with me and try to make my visit as brief as possible), and I'm certainly not going to some stranger's home to play (I already learned that lesson the hard way).

Plus, to be frank, I don't believe the AL is for me. I have played the traditional fantasy races to death. Consequently, I prefer unusual and unconventional characters which are likely to be disallowed in the AL.

Also, I have players who participate in AL events. From what I've gleaned, the games tend to be combat focused, and I prefer more of a social or exploration focus. That's not how I'm running my current game (because my players prefer a combat and exploration focus), but that is what I enjoy as a player.

Have you personally ever played in an official D&D Adventurer's League game at a store, convention, or other sanctioned event?
Is the question intended for all EN World gamers, or just for EN World Gamer's that play D&D? Someone not into D&D would not be likely to try AL, but a quick look at survey results wouldn't show that. (A third option could capture that, however)
