The problem with this poll is that relatively few of those mentioned would be easily recognized, even by fans. It's like asking how many radio celebrities you've seen/met.
Well, most of this meeting (all of it in my case) occured at gaming conventions where the persons in question were wearing nametags identifying them. I probably wouldn't recognize, say, Jonathan Tweet (or really anybody on the list except for Gygax and maybe Ed Greenwood) if I ran into him in the grocery, but when he's wearing an identifying nametag (or, even more, the host of a seminar or guest of honor at an event) makes it a lot easier...

Whoah, whoah, whoah. You're poll is missing somebody. Piratecat!

On a more serious note, there is no option for "I haven't met any of them."

Really! I met him, briefly, at GenCon '02 (the last one in Milwaukee), in the "RPGA arena". He probably doesn't remember me, though I was in the company of someone I think he'd recognize (I think the name "Maryrita" would ring a bell with him).

Good point. I didn't know who Dave or Kelley were (or, rather, I didn't know they were Dave Sutherland and Kelley Foote, formely employed by TSR ) until after I met them and, in Kelley's case, not until I had known him for more than a year. They were just Dave and Kelley. Neither made a big show about having worked for TSR.

I used to work with Tim Kask, the original editor of Dragon. I didn't even realize it was him until one day he mentioned in passing during a conversation that he had edited a magazine years ago. When he admitted it was Dragon - or, THE Dragon, at the time - I promptly went home that night to check my old back issues. Yep, it was him. Nice guy.
