He-Man builds and Hybrid classes?

So in a discussion about what class He-Man would be, I was wondering: what would he be? And the other characters?

I also have a question about Hybrid classes.

Hybrid Classes: can I do a Druid or Beastmaster build with a second class, but have all my Druid powers be the Wildshape ones, and the ranger powers be the Beast ones?
Like, could I have a sorcerer//Druid who is basically just a Sorcerer who transforms into a giant tiger? Or a Beastmaster//Swordmage who's basically a swordmage with a pet bear?
I know Hybrids need to balance out their powers list. However, Druids also have to keep their powers balanced between Wildshape and Druid spells.

anyway...

He-man: I'm thinking a Beastmaster Ranger, obviously. However, I'm thinking some kind of hybrid class might also be good, like a Paladin or Warlord.

Man-at-arms: some kind of artificer-defender build; maybe multiclass martial, for some PP that reflects his war-experience past.

anything ranger strikes me as more skills and wilderness-y and more often than not more of a lone wolf. He-Man I view more about channeling power and, despite his strength and weaponry, was more about resolving with words and goodness.

Thus, I'd imagine him to be a little paladin or warden or cleric... I can also see a little avenger in him as well, but paladin would fit better between those two choices.

multiclass to barbarian for flavor reasons, though he never actually got all "raged out" unless you count when he would chuck mountains to knock comets out of the way.

Although he does have battlecat which makes me want to think beastmaster, he-man's powers are not really tied to battlecat, more like battlecat is an ally that he happens to ride with the mount feat.

anyway, just my rambles..

I'd probably go for a Deva Thaneborn Barbarian, and just write off the raging and memory of a thousand lifetimes as TPoG (TM).

Whats unfortunate is that He-man is clearly two things that are REALLY not synergistic:

Beastmaster ranger
two-handed sword wielder.
Not true.

If you'll notice, the Beastmaster ranger - when he uses a Beast-related power - does weapon damage based on Str. I take this to mean that he's using one weapon. That weapon of course could be two handed.

From what I can tell Beast Masters are most optimized when using two handers, though ranged and duel wield BM's are possible.
