D&D 4E Heads up! All 4e threads being moved into new 4e forum

Fortunately they have about 9 months to figure that out. :) If I were doing it, at that time I would rename the existing Rules forum, calling it 3E Rules, and then create a parallel forum for 4E rules. I'm not sure what I would do beyond that. All editions of D&D lived in harmony in General before, maybe they will again once the pre-release phase of 4E's history is over.
THat's always been the problem with General. Once something gets moved out of General, it tends to slow down. Contrary to my post above, I'm actually glad the 4E threads were moved out, it will stop me from engaging in as many navel-gazing/speculation threads as I would do otherwise. I suspect these threads will just fold back into General once 4E is out.

Really missed you this weekend. :)

Eric, I've temporarily made you a super-moderator. Would you mind helping me move threads into the 4e forum, and relabel them?

If not, no worries. But if you can, thank you! I'll flip the switch back when we're done.
Oo OO, can I be a temporary Super-Moderator for a day. I'd love to edit myself :D :p

I would use my powers for good, I would add 50,000 postws to everyones post count, just to get Crothian hot and bothered :) ;)

You might want to add a web-content or a digital initiative subject for the 4e threads. It seems they are kind of heading that way. Such content seem like it would fit better in one of those catagories rather than general.

Just a thought.

Just to say thanks to the mods (and honourary Mod For A Day, Again, Eric :-) ) for doing this. I was hyper tense on Thursday fo rthe announcement of 4E and all, but I was getting a bit fed up of coming to the forum and finding nothing really new being discussed - or what was new was buried in a pretty big pile of mostly fact-less "4E AW YEAH!" and "4E OH NOES!" stuff I guess everyone was finding out for the first time over a longish period of time, but I was getting a little fed up of it, and now I can deal with it as and when I feel like it. ;-)

Yeah, I think there were something like 5 threads on "Look OotS #482 is posted" through the initial 4E crush (when a topic stayed on the front page about 5 minutes).
