Where/how do you configure? Thanks.
Go to the BGConfig tool (should be in the same folder as the .exe file).

Under graphics, choose display. The various unsupported graphics modes are locked. Just unlock them, pick your resolution and voila! I run mine in 1024x768 and I haven't had any problems so far. I seem to recall running it in 1280x960 once, but it felt too small or something. It worked I just didn't like it :D

That's cool news. Glad to see the greatest CRPG ever get some late loving.

And I thought I was the only one who plays old CRPGs.

Nope, I actually got frustrated with NWN2 the other day and fired up my copy of BG2 just to relive the goodness.. and then I had to remember how to play 2E D&D.. sigh..

Nah. When I want some good ol' hack and slash, I break out Dungeon Hack. :D

Lots of clicking on those older games, that's for sure...click/step/click/step etc.

Or does anyone remember riding that horse on Hillsfar...trying to jump logs and whatnot...silly.

Ugh, I had forgotten about that forsaken horse ride. Iriitating. But I will admit, I loved picking locks in that game.

You guys should check out some of the various mods for BG2. Some are good, some are bad. I personally can't get past the poor grammar in some of them, but some only have the occasional error. My favorite is Classic Adventures which incorporates The Sunless Citadel, Saltmarsh, and ambitiously hopes to do GDQ, the A series and others eventually. Oooh... shiny!

Oldie, but a goodie! I finished BG II many times, but I can't seem to bring myself to get BGII: Throne of Bhaal.

BG2 is... old?

My understanding in the PC world any game older than a year is old. Consoles maybe, but they seem to hold their prices longer.
