Heavy Metal RPG anyone?

I'd offer up "Waste World" as the closest thing I can think of to doing Heavy Metal out of the box. There's reviews for it over on rpg.net. You can get an overview of it here:

Yes, that's a pretty solid fit for the new Eastman-managed Heavy Metal. Very FAKK 2.

There is also the long out if print Mayfair game, Underground.

It's a dark cyberpunk supers game, but you may find elements within it you like.

The magazine Heavy Metal is a pretty broad showcase. An RPG based on the magazine would probably be ideologically similar to the Starblazers RPG.

As for the archetypes of the genre/lifestyle Heavy Metal (from its origin as a fictional drug penned by William S. Burroughs and on through the current self-aware revitalization by the animated show Metalocalypse), I would love to see a detailed P&P campaign setting for the Brütal Legend video game.

Ah, Heavy Metal. At one time, the most cutting-edge mag. Today, it strains with all its might to avoid stepping into the digital age. DVD compliations? Nope. Online issues? Nope. Hardcover anthologies on Amazon? Negatory. What a pity.

Anyway, check out the FATE game, Starblazer Adventures. It's in the same vein, although its content was more tame.
