"Hell In Freeport" without prequels?

Hey, anyone familiar enough with Green Ronin's Hell In Freeport to advise me whether it stands alone well?

I'm planning on having something happen in a city soon, and my time is too short these days, so I'd really like a nice mid-to-high level adventure all pre-made.

Thanks, -- Nifft

Yeah, it totally stands alone. The plot has nothing to do with the Freeport Trilogy, so you shouldn't have any difficulties using it by itself.

Hell in Freeport has nothing to do with Death-Terror-Madness in Freeport series of modules. I own all of them, but have never run Hell. It seems to me to be as unconnected to the first three as two adventures that affect a whole city can be. I would suggest that you look at picking up Freeport:the City of Adventure. It will give you detailed info on the city itself. If you already have a city in your own world, Hell should be easily transferable.

Works fine without prequels.

I was player in that module. Really great experience.

My dm found it really easily alterable to his game plots and world.
We play in world of Scarn, for those who are familiar with it.

He did make encounters harder, since we were 15th level characters at the time.

Oh, boy, we were more paranoid after that adventure.
