Help a guy please.

Then the chief Dwarven god won't work. I'd suggest you either:
A) Import Clangeddin, the Dwarven war god from the FR.
B) Play a human or Half Orc cleric of Heironeous (War domain let's you use a longsword with free focus). Especially the half Orc should be able to dish out some damage.

what rav said, set yourself up for warpriest as you advance, that class rules the fightin priest world. forget turning undead, fight with two weapons, the previously mentioned longsword, and a mace of disruption. you need the war and strength domains for the character to really whoop a**. in the double digit levels of cleric you kind of run out of cool "buffing" spells, you might consider multiclass as you go up unless you want the magic to become your main focus.

Standard PHB gods. We are also using all of the class books. Good cleric can give up ANY spell for a cure spell of the same level right? So I could memorize some inflict wound spells and if need be cast them as cure spells right?

Try to see if you can use either the Greyhawk gods or the FR Gods. That will give you a lot more choices and flexability in creating your priest.

Yes, good clerics can swap any spell out for a cure spell.
So, the answer to the second question is also 'yes'.

Ysgarran.

Not quite. A cleric can not swap out a domain spell for a cure spell. But you only get one domain spell per level, so it's not a big issue.

Wow, I never realized this before. Of the standard PHB gods, Moradin doesn't have either the Strength or War domain. Doesn't seem quite right to me.

And only Gruumish has both.

But only Cure spells. This does not include spells like Heal or Healing Circle (PHB p. 32).

Now, if you can get the FR domains, I think what Ysgarran put up would be ideal. Otherwise, I would go with St Cuthbert and take the Destruction and Strength domains.

I'll probably jhust be using buff spells on myself while the sorc covers the rest of the party. Thanks for all the help. Keep it coming.

You sure can--not including the domain spells though, as someone else has mentioned. Another thing about swapping out spells for curing is that doing so takes a FULL ROUND ACTION. So while you can get them... do you want to have one ready for combat casting?

Keep a couple cantrips prepared (to stop dieing) and one Cure Light Wounds when you need that fighter or Wizard back now.

Go elven cleric.

Take Pt Blank Shot, and specilize in archery.

If you have access to the Elf domain in FRCS, by all means take it. True strike is a domain spell *drool*.

Well we don't have the FRCS book so those are out. I might try the human or half orc with two weapon fighting. Suggestions on good spells please?

Huh, I did not realize that. Can you give me a reference? We have been playing that domain spells could be swapped out for a cure spell (or inflict for evil) .

Ysgarran.
